Experience
Elisabeth has been working in the people‑centred field for over 30 years and feels privileged to support individuals through the many cycles and challenges that arise from adolescence through to older age. Her approach is client‑centred and collaborative, grounded in strong unconditional positive regard. Elisabeth looks forward to meeting you and hearing what has brought you to counselling. She is trained in a range of therapeutic approaches to match each person’s needs and goals, including: Harm Minimisation and Relapse Prevention, Schema Therapy, IFS, Polyvagal and trauma‑informed practice, attachment‑focused therapy, IPT, and Gottman Relationship Therapy. She is also highly experienced in supporting people through complex and disenfranchised grief.
Approach
Elisabeth is a trained and experienced couples and family counsellor. Her relationship counselling experience includes working with people from polyamorous, kink, and ENM communities. She has a long history of supporting people around gender identity and sexuality, and has worked extensively with people from the LGBTQIA+ community.
She has a special interest in working with parents, including parents of neurodivergent children and young people, and parents of gender‑queer or identity‑exploring children and adolescents. Supporting people in their ante‑ and post‑natal journeys is a passion of hers. She has also worked with many people in the sex industry, and in previous roles supported clients from many CALD
